For now route 15 both directions closed down. Its not clear exactly what happened. What the initial accident is or even where this happened. Here at the live desk, were following developments in illinois where police are using everything they can to bring down three men suspected of killing an officer and stealing his gear. Helicopters in the air above fox lake, an area about an hour north of chicago. All investigators will say right now is theyre looking for two white men and a black man. Tonight a memorial is growing outside the police department. People have been coming by to leave messages and other mementos outside the station. Lieutenant Charles Gliniewicz was married with four sons. He was just about to retire. He was chasing the men this morning when he radioed in for backup. Another officer rushed to the scene, but when he got there, the lieutenant had already been shot. The suspects got away with his gun and some of his other gear.
