reporter: the trial is expected to start this morning. yesterday, both sides were in court arguing about what should be allowed during the trial. perhaps the biggest issue of the day was the matter of a videotaped confession by eric frein after he was captured. late yesterday the judge ruled the video is okay to show the jury. eight women and four men will decide his fate. accused of shooting corporal brian dixon and trooper douglas. dixon was killed and douglas was injured. it s been 2.5 years since the shooting, and prosecutors are ready to get this in front of the jury. we ll be looking forward to starting the trial tomorrow and bringing justice forth on behalf of all the victims in this matter. reporter: prosecutors are seeking the death penalty in this case. the trial is expected to last several weeks. as for whether eric frein will take the stand, lawyers say that decision is up to him. live outside the belmont barracks, nbc10 news today. thank you. fo ....
