Sagaia Kaisala died after being run over in Māngere Bridge while trying to help a colleague who was being attacked. “I didn’t want to die, I want to fight with my life,” she said earlier in the trial. “I was calling someone to help me . I tried to kick him out from me and I know I’m going to die that day.” Niumagumagu then ran Matamua’s colleague Abdul Riyaz down with his car, the court heard.
