Edison NJ police officer Ryan Borden unexpectedly dies


EDISON - A 26-year-old township police officer, who was sworn into the force last fall, has died unexpectedly.
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Officer Ryan Borden #482. Officer Borden passed away unexpectedly last night (Tuesday, March 16, 2021) in his home, at the age of 26, according to an Edison Police Department Facebook post.
Officer Borden always had a smile on his face and was proud to serve the residents of Edison, the post said.
Police Chief Thomas Bryan said he has known Borden for many years prior to him becoming a township police officer.
He is certainly one of the most likeable, lovable, compassionate, caring young men that I could ever have known, said Bryan who responded to Borden s home Tuesday.  ....
