Two new graveyards to address needs of Pindiites

Rawalpindi:The local administration, Rawalpindi has recently established a graveyard in Dhok Munshi which is operational while another one in Adiala Road is in process of completion and will be operational very soon. “The graveyard in Dhok Munshi graveyard has huge space for next 10-years at least, Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Captain (r) Muhammad Mehmood told ‘The News’ here on Wednesday.
Pindiites are facing difficulties in finding space for a grave. They have to search from place to place to find out space for a grave but in vain. Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Captain (r) Muhammad Mehmood said with these two new graveyards at Dhoke Munshi and Adiala Road, will address to the needs of Pindiites as not only the landlords but their tenants will also get space for a grave here for their deceased ones.

Rawalpindi : The encroachment mafia rules the roost in almost all the localities of the city particularly the busy Raja Bazaar and its adjoining vicinities where all roads and streets remain occupied by shopkeepers, stallholders and pushcart vendors. It literally becomes impossible for the pedestrians to even walk on the crammed roads.
Raja Bazaar, Namak Mandi, Narnkari Bazaar, City Saddar Road, Fawara Chowk, Barra Market, Trunk Bazaar, Iqbal Road remain in the grip of encroachments round the clock and there seems to be no end in sight.

Teachers call off strike

Rawalpindi : All 44 arrested teachers have been released after successful talks between protesters and Rawalpindi local administration here on Sunday. The protesters have called off their strike from Bani Gala after successful talks with Commissioner Rawalpindi Division.
Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Captain (r) Muhammad Mehmood has assured the protesters that their issues would be resolved.
Punjab government has formed a committee under the leadership of Provincial Law Minister Raja Muhammad Basharat. The committee will resolve all genuine issues of all contractual teachers. The committee will arrange a final discussion with teachers to resolve their genuine demands on Monday (today).
