Detective reveals identity after copping man's outburst

A Coast man blamed a cranky mood for his outburst towards a shopper who later revealed himself as a police officer, a court has heard.
Leith Michael Oakes was walking into the entrance of Coles, Nambour when he began yelling at a plainclothes police officer leaving the supermarket on March 29.
“(Oakes) … approached the entry and was heard to yell at him, ‘oi wanna chop c..t’,” Police prosecutor James Allen said
The child protection investigation unit Detective initially ignored Oakes who yelled ‘ignore me then you f -g c t’.
The plain clothed Detective revealed his badge and searched Oakes for drugs. ....

Sergeant Johnstone said Posser continually interrupted and spoke over the top of police and started recording them on his phone before he was arrested.
Posser pleaded guilty in Noosa Magistrates Court on Tuesday to one count of public nuisance and obstructing police.
Duty lawyer Natashia Blank said the father of two believed he was doing the right thing at the time.

A Cannonvale man has been charged after he allegedly grabbed a fire twirler from a performer and then punched a cyclist multiple times.
Police allege the man was refused entry to a licensed venue on Shute Harbour Rd in Airlie Beach about 12.15am on Saturday.
The 25-year-old man then approached a nearby crowd watching a street performer who was using fire sticks.
Police allege the man rushed towards the fire twirler and took a fire stick before running down the street with it towards a taxi rank.
He then allegedly threw the stick over his shoulder into the air. ....

Teen in organised fight with 20 people to 'resolve dispute'


A Blackwater teenager was charged after being part of an organised fight in the Central Queensland mining town.
Blackwater police responded to reports of an organised fight at Sagittarius Rd about 2.20pm on January 15, police prosecutor Sergeant Paul Cramp told Blackwater Magistrates Court on Friday.
On arrival, officers located five vehicles and saw about 20 people in a circle around two people fighting each other.
Police recognised Triston Brandon Lee Major, who was involved in the fight, and when spoken to he said he arranged the fight to solve another dispute, the court heard.
Major, 19, pleaded guilty at Blackwater Magistrates Court on February 5 to committing public nuisance. ....
