Six major fires are scorching well over 140,000 acres. Some 500 structures have been destroyed and hundred of thousands have been forced to flee their homes. The state offices of Emergency Services issued its widest ever text alert warning millions of extreme fire conditions as ferocious santa ana winds continued fueling those flames. Governor ch jerry brown is now calling on President Trump to declare a federal emergency in the state. The governor also just declared a state of emergency for san diego.
