I think about the ceremonies we have covered across the bay area for some 15 years or so. And i think what is missing this year is often the best part of the memorial day ceremonies. Sometimes you have to be seated or standing next to someone you have never met before then you turn and ask, why are you here . You get to learn about their daughter, their son, their husband or they brought their children to learn about memorial day and unfortunately, that is not really able to happen this year.
