This chopper 2 video shows a large sinkhole on 56th street and sunset park, in the center of a busy residential street. Those who live here have access to their homes and still have water and electricity. But gas had been shut off to a few buildings, Maria Rodriguez says it caved right after a garbage truck drove by. Reporter the judge has decided that guilty verdict will stand in the peter liang case. That after the defense had objected saying one of the jurors in the case Michael Vargas had lied. Vargas was on the stand for two days and was questioned repeatedly about why he failed to disclose that his own father had been convicted of manslaughter. Peter liang, of course, is the former rookie nypd officer who killed unarmed akai gurley inside the stairwell of a Brooklyn Housing Development in november of 2014. Lorenzo ramos had been teaching young girls martial arts for at least half a dozen years and the place he worked most recently claims he passed an extensive background check but prosecutors say ramos sexually abused four of his students. The abuse happening over the last year. Three counts of sexual abuse. Eight counts of forcible touching. 20 counts in the indictment against him.
