Truck is the person who died. The fedex driver is still on scene here and has reportedly been cooperating with the investigation. Theyve closed down all four lanes, southbound 880 at 66 so they can thoroughly investigate this deadly accident. This time theyre asking drivers to be patient with them. Because someone did die on our freeway this morning, we feel its our duty to shut down the freeway to comb through all evidence in the entire scene, to process the scene to insure that the victim, the victims families, that everyone gets the best service they can from the california highway patrol. Morning. A fedex truck collided with one car. Investigators say that when they arrived paramedics were trying to revive the occupants of the car. Those efforts were unsuccessful and that person died at the scene. A fedex driver is on scene as well and has been cooperating with the investigation. Officers have closed down all four lanes of southbound 880 so that they can thoroughly investigate the accident and clear the accident to make sure the roadway is safe. They are asking for drivers to be patient. We want to assure the victims families and the public get the most out of this as possible. Mountains just be patient everybody is in on some decent totals. The wind advisory starts at noon for the severe Winter Weather advisory but it is mainly rain into late tonight. Over four inches are certainly in the forecast. We have steady relight rain and when the first system moves through it will drop off but the front comes tonight and the rainfall will pick up.
