freeway. we re able to see it better now that the fog has lifted a little bit. it s not that bad as you drive on 80 westbound. it s not a bad commute continuing out to the macarthur maze. at the bay bridge toll plaza, traffic here is pretty good. a couple of lanes are slow, but for the most part it s a light commute. at 5:01, let s go back to the desk. a speck remains on the loss a she suspect remains on the loose after a shooting. at 5:20, fremont police spotted a stolen car in heyward. the car was wanted in connection with several armed robberies through the bay area. when they tried to stop the car, the driver rammed into the police car and injured two detectives. the officers fired at the suspect s car and killed a woman inside the car. the car sped off and crashed moments later at the school s main campus in heyward. a man and a woman was arrested, but another man got away and neighbors one neighbor says her son witnessed the chase. we saw two vehicles coll ....
that suspect was taken into custody within the last hour.very scary evening here in berkely.we can go straight to the video where you can see the suspect in handcuffs before being taken off to jail.the chase all started in oakland around 7 - o clock tonight near 14th nd harrison.during the pursuit police say the suspect rammed his vehice into an officer s car.the suspect kept going and ended up in berkeleywhere he crashed into 2 other vehicles at the college and ashby intersection.the suspect then got out, ran inside a building and made his way to the roof. during that encounter police urged people in the area to stay away from the intersection.just before 9- oclock he was apprehended. people in the area have been on edge all evening.one woman who was involved in the crash is still frazzled. we spoke with her husband.sotsotsot tag it s not clear what caused the initial pursuit, but the officer whose car was damaged suffered minor injuries. reporting live from berkeley ( ....
demarcus doss is described by friends to have been a hero through and through into the last moments of his short lived life. the community gathered on the corner of san pablo and barrett in richmond near the off ramp where demarcus was shot.it happened last thursday at around 3:30 in the afternoon. demarcus was said to be driving when a car pulled up and shots were fired. his family says he covered his friend with his own body protecting her. she survived her injuries.but damarcus later died at an area hospital. his sister tells me he was able to stay alive long enough for her to fly back from arkansas to say goodbye. shanyla robinson, sisterhe was a man. you can t say that about a lot of 24-year-olds, sadly to say. but demarcus was a man he went out like a champ. he fought them bullets he was still breathing with a bullet in his head he fought them. and he waited until i got there. kellis love jr., brother you never think about it s going to hit you but it s tough when ....
