and waiting. the man is a suspect in a deadly shooting in walnut creek this afternoon. a woman died after being shot near the lindsay wildlife experience. after the shooting, s.w.a.t. teams and bomb squads moved into this walnut creek neighborhood searching for any sign of the suspect when suddenly around 7 pm: [ sirens ] reporter: authorities left the scene and a rush, having track to possible suspect here to a chevron gas station just off highway 4 in martinez. authorities are staying tightlipped about who the man is and whether he is armed. but as a safety measure, they have closed surrounding streets to traffic and are ordering people to stay away. those streets remain closed up moment. walnut creek police not revealing much of their strategy or talking about how much communication they have had with the suspect at this time. they released a statement a short time ago saying they are doing their best to resolve this with no more loss of life. christin ayers, kpix ....
