LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – Florida State scored three runs in the ninth inning – and the final seven runs of the game – to complete a 7-4 comeback victory over Louisville Friday night at Jim Patterson Stadium. Jackson Baumeister pitched a career-high 8.0 innings, and Brennen Oxford earned his first career save with a perfect ninth inning.

Louisville took the lead with a pair of home runs in the third inning – a leadoff home run from Logan Beard, and a three-run shot from JT Benson – to take the 4-0 lead.

FSU cut the lead in half with Williams’ single in the seventh inning, scoring Ben Barrett and McGwire Holbrook. Barrett led off the inning with a walk – FSU’s first of the game – and Holbrook pinch-hit and singled, his first pinch-hit of the season. Williams’ matched his career RBI high with the two-run single.

After Baumeister posted another scoreless inning in the bottom of the seventh, Jaime Ferrer led off the eighth with a single and score ....

⚾️: Williams' Walk-Off Beats No. 1 Wake

TALLAHASSEE, Florida – Jordan Williams’ fourth hit of the season – and first at Dick Howser Stadium – was a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning to lead FSU to a 4-3 win over No. 1 Wake Forest Sunday afternoon. The Noles rallied from a 3-0 deficit after six innings with three runs in the seventh and Williams’ RBI in the ninth.

The Seminoles used five pitchers to beat the Demon Deacons, with Jamie Arnold pitching a career-high 5.1 innings with six strikeouts. Andrew Armstrong pitched 2.1 innings with four strikeouts and just one hit, while Doug Kirkland improved to 3-3 on the year by notching the final two outs in the top of the ninth.

After Wake Forest hit a two-run home run in the first inning – Brock Wilken’s 23rd of the year – neither team scored again until the Demon Deacons plated a run on a wild pitch in the sixth.

⚾️: Offense Powers Noles to Sweep of Mercer

TALLAHASSEE, Florida – Behind seven extra-base hits – including three home runs – and 5.0 shutout innings from Andrew Armstrong, Florida State beat Mercer 13-3 in eight innings Sunday afternoon to complete the series sweep. The Seminoles never looked back after scoring five runs on five hits in the first inning, all with two outs. Every Seminole starter had a hit against Mercer, led by James Tibbs’ 3-for-3 performance with two doubles and two walks. Tibbs now leads FSU with a .341 batting average, 51 runs and 39 walks. Titan Kamaka also had three hits to match his career high, and his three RBI and three runs were a career high. Kamaka hit his second home run of the weekend and got FSU on the board with a two-run single in the first inning; he is the sixth different Seminole this year with at least three hits, runs and RBI in a game. Colton Vincent had three hits and three RBI – including his second career home run – while Cam Smith hit a three-run home run in the sixth inn ....
