Republican, in addition to a concussion, suffered a broken rib in last week s fall. mcconnell won t be returning to the capitol for another week or two. what more do we know about senator mcconnell s condition? it sounds like this was a bit more serious than we first might have thought that s for sure we re just learning about this fractured rib in addition to the concussion when he fell last week at the waldorf astoria here in washington. his aides say they find his recovery encouraging he s making good progress, particularly as it relates to the recovery from the concussion but this is a normal prognosis for someone dealing with the injuries that he is dealing with there s a period of time in the hospital, as he works to regain his strength it s just easier to do that in a rehab facility and so, that is why he was transferred there. you point out there s no timeline given for how long he might be in that facility. ....
