Two local groups are teaming up today for a pair of events as a part of a community-wide effort to curb violence and uplift youth in El Dorado and surrounding areas.

A crowd gathered at Mattocks Park on Saturday for the Summer Breeze festival, organized by Janice and Lorenzo Hicks. The event featured live music, crafts and other items from a number of local vendors, and activities including bounce houses and the Be Pro Be Proud Arkansas truck.
