El Dorado (April 3, 2024) The South Arkansas Historical Preservation Society announced that the Mayhaw Festival will return for its 32nd year on Saturday, May 4th. The festival will be held in and around the Newton House Museum at 510 N. Jackson in downtown El Dorado.
Members of the El Dorado Historic District Commission had planned Thursday to watch a video of a presenter from a recent Preserve Arkansas s Dollars & Sense of Historic Preservation workshop.
The South Arkansas Historical Preservation Society s Black History Month exhibit is now on display at the Gallery of History and the organization held a Member s Reception event Friday night to unveil the exhibit.
