started over night in wake county and it led to hundreds of accidents across the triangle this morning. wncn s david hurst reports. as temperatures rose today, road conditions gradually got better. behind me here along i 440 there s still a little bit of slush left over. but we re not seeing any of the ice that caused so many problems this morning. icy and slippery roads caused headaches for many drivers across the triangle. what normally would take me a good 30 minute commute took about an hour and a half. the north carolina highway patrol reported over 1,000 the state. most of those were in the triangle area where troopers crashes. troopers say none of the wrecks resulted in serious injuries. delays. on days like monday, when roads are slippery, auto body shops like capitol city collision see a spike in the business. an accident is an accident for the most part. we hope no one s hurt. experiences a 15 to 20% increase every time there s a significant weather even ....
