The Five Best Songs From Phoenix Musicians in February 2021

Here s a weird coincidence:
Can t Get Enough, the latest EP from Valley reggae band The Irie, debuted at No. 1 the same weekend that would have been Bob Marley s 76th birthday. Does this dash of serendipity bode well for the future of the band? Hard to say, but there s no denying their four-track effort isn t still hugely entertaining. Case in point: Never Alone, a deeply sentimental, doubly endearing ballad that also happens to be a light and breezy slice of pure island-style reggae. Maybe Tuff Gong himself would have approved.

Nancy Post Heinbach, 79, a woman of many talents | Williamsburg Yorktown Daily

NEWPORT NEWS Nancy Post Heinbach, 79, transitioned peacefully Monday, Dec. 21, 2020.
She loved Christmas and her faith. Her passing on December 21 was spiritually appropriate, given the winter solstice and the rare conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn nicknamed, “The Christmas Star.” This rare Christmas Star was a beautiful beacon of light to show her the path to her eternal home. Nancy was with family physically and virtually throughout her journey.
A special thank you to the family of caregivers at Magnolia Manor in Smithfield who provided comfort, compassion and dignity as she transitioned to her eternal rest.
Nancy was born in Richmond. She was a graduate of Warwick High School, Newport News, Class of 1959. She worked many years for the City of Newport News, retiring from the Department of Planning and Development. She loved her profession and coworkers. She was adept in word processing and became the department’s leading advisor and mentor in word processing ....
