Roads. We have a crash slowing things down quite a bit. A 2 1 2 mile backup as you are headed northbound on crain highway at branch avenue. The left lane is blocked and those backups are building here. Really have increased quite a bit in the last couple of minutes. Of an impact. Traffic not too bad. This has been going on since tuesday. Were talking about the section between pooksville road and cedar lane. They had a water main burst on tuesday. There was flooding, major lane closures. They have repeated repairs to the pipe itself but they still have to repair the road. Apparently they had to take out a larger section of the asphalt. They had hoped to have all the work done by this mornings hour but they even not been able to complete the repairs in time. We have one lane getting by to the left in the inbound direction here right in the area of cedar lane. Now, if youre heading outbound in the northbound direction, all the lanes are open. Theyre making a lot of progress, but were seeing the lane closures, weve been here since about 4 30. Actually theyve made tremendous progress in that time filling in the hole with asphalt here. They want police to release 16 fellow protesters arrested for protesting this morning taken out of the building in plastic handcuffs hours ago. Police broke up an allnight sitin and charged the folks with trespassing as we said. They were part of a large group that disrupted a hearing about hiring a Permanent Police commissioner. Detectives are gathering details. They are reviewing notes. Let me move right out of the way. You can see them right there across the street. We are here at walters lane and chavez lane at the bp gas station in forestville. Lets roll some video. This happened around 7 15 tonight. Police are telling me that a man walked into the gas station and opened fire on another man. They tell me this was a targeted attack. There was a clerk inside, along with the victim who was a customer. And police are investigating to see if there were more customers inside the gas station. There is surveillance cameras, or excuse me, there are surveillance cameras here at the gas station. Police will review the surveillance video. And again, they are trying to see if there are more customers inside this place. And they dont know if the man drove away or if he ran away from the scene. Theyre obviously trying to figure that out.
