unconstitutional. wmur s jean mackin spoke to one of the people who challenged the law, and joins us live. jean: 40 days from now when you vote, it will be legal to snap a photo of your ballot and post it on social media. though some who argued it s freedom of speech have been doing just that all along. even when you pull the curtain to vote privately you now have the right to make your vote public. federal appeals court upholding a lower court ruling that declared new hampshire s ban on ballot selfies unconstitutional. in 2014 in an effort to curb potential voter fraud, the state outlawed displaying photos of marked ballots a violation that carried a fine up to $1,000. that didn t stop people from posting so-called ballot selfies like state representative leon rideout did. facebook page for state rep. to me, it was just another incremental infringement on our constitutional rights. jean: the aclu challenged the law on behalf of rideout and 2 other voters. legal anaylst ....
