into the sate. erin: two people are facing charges. they found more than drugs. ray brewer live from the park and ride in tilton where the bustas ray? ray: police say this is where they watched the two vehicles meet and where officers spotted evidence of drugs in one of the cars monday evening. now police say initially they had stopped one of the vehicles for having a false inspection sticker. after searching the vehicle, investigators say they found more than 750 grams of heroin. that's worth about $80,000 on the street. they also found a large officers found a lot of cash, evidence of drug sales, and a handgun reported stolen out of boston. police say they are now seeking federal drug charges against the two people in involved, one from penacook and the other from nashua. live from tilton, ray brewer. erin: okay. ray, thank you. a keene woman is accused of helping her grandson sell drugs while he was behind bars. 23-year-old dylan malis maliska was already in jail and they listened to phone calls in which he told her to get heroin and fentanyl and sell it to at least one person. 60-year-old regina miner faces drug charges after hay found drugs in her home. she's free on bail. targeting drug $1.5 million to expand granite state hammer. 15 law enforcement agencies will share the money. sean: go ahead and take a picture of your filled out ballot the next time you vote. a federal appeals court says new hampshire's ban on so-called ballot selfies is unconstitutional. back in 2014, state lawmakers outlawed, displaying photos of marked ballots in an effort totrack crack fraud. the law was struck down a year ago. the state appealed. in the ruling yesterday, the federal court says the ban is a violation of free speech. while voter coercion is a compelling interest, they say the state did not do enough to tailer the solution. >> i took a picture ofy ballot and posted it on twitter and on my representative. to me it was just another infringement on our rights. sean: the decision applies to the entire jurisdiction of the first circuit court of appeals, meaning they are allowed in maine, massachusetts, rhode island, and puerto rico. erin: the children are charged with interference with the couple does not have legal custody. the kids are in good health. they are back with their legal guardians this morning. salem police are considering whether to file charges against a mother after her 2-year-old daughter was run over. we told you about this accident on south policy street yesterday. police say the mother let her 7-year-old daughter start the car tuesday evening, but the child mappinged to put the car in reverse and broken bones and other injuries. sean: the u.s. marshal service joint fugitive task force is joining the search. billy maldonado is wanted in the september 14th shooting death of 25-year-old jonathan vazquez ojeda. he has strong ties to ng last known address is manchester. the state trooper who arrested 18-year-old tyler barrel. he has never clocked someone that fast. erin: he spent a week adrift at sea. according to the warrant, he's under investigation for reckless endangerment, resulting in death. carman remains a person of interest in the 2013 murder of his grandfather who had a home in chesterfield and an interview with the associated press yesterday, carman denied having anything to do with his grandfather's africa are trying to find a penguin this morning that was stolen from an aquarium and released into the wild. officials say two men have admitted breaking taking an african penguin named buddy, and dropped him off in the beach. they say buddy has been born in the captivity and never hunted for themselves. they fear he will die in the next couple of weeks if they don't find him. sean: it costs more to put a child in full-time daycare than send them to college. it costs just under children to full-time day care. by comparison, the average cost for in-state college tuition is about $9,400 a year. erin: aetna is trying to get more creative getting people more active. they are planning to design for the iphone and the activity and health. they will subsidize the cost for people or employees who use aetna will be able to decide if they want to offer the program. tesla is jumping into the car business. the company just unveiled a new concept car called the i.d. it will cost less than a tesla model 3 and have a greater range. it won't be available until 2020. vw has vowed to launch more than 30 2025. sean: fall has arrived. that means fair season here in new hampshire. the 140th annual deerfield fair starts today. it is billed as the oldest family fair in new england. it features animal shows, demolition derby, a pig scramble, plenty of food and rides as well. gates open at 8:00 each morning starting today and runs through sunday. erin: it is one of the most popular ones in the state. kevin: fair skies today. without the accent. erin: fair. kevin: looks like we're going to start to see clouds increase opinion today or tomorrow the better day is to get there. we're going to run the risk of showers. we're not looking at the wash out. there should be drier hours to each day. we start off with fair skies. a little bit of patchy fog in some of the lower lying valleys. temperatures have cooled off into the 40's to lower 50's. nothing that's going to slow you down. the evening commute should be just fine as ll the next storm system starts out giving three to six inches of rainfall through pennsylvania and the mid atlantic states. all of this in response to the slow moving area of low pressure which has been slowly advancing toward the east coast and scooping up what moisture is out there. there's been plenty of it from the same front from came through a few days ago. temperatures upper 30's up north. lower 50's in southern spots. northeasterly breeze today will be miles an hour. if you are out at the coast or on area lakes, you know about the breeze. similar breeze today. patchy fog and lower valleys as you get up to the normal elevations or higher elevations. the breeze, while it is fairly light, certainly will continue to mix things out through the day. with it, partial sunshine. what we are looking at is a slide back in temperatures by the middle and end of next week. until we get there, temperatures low to mid 60's. it is just a couple of degrees shy. northeasterly breeze for that. partial sunshine warming up into the afternoon. this evening again most of the moisture focused to the southwest for the time being. as the area of low pressure and the upper levels slowly moves closer, some of that moisture that's been deflected to the southwest starts to make its way toward us. that will mean an increase in clouds tomorrow with maybe a couple of late day showers in southern areas of the state. we're expecting another dry day with just an increase and thickening hit-or-miss shower activity. it is going to be on and off. you'll notice as we cycle through this, if you are thinking about heading out there for foilage, we aren't expecting a tremendous amount of moisture newpaper that direction. just some scattered shower activity. there's going to be drier hours to both days, especially in the northern half of the state. if you are planning that, from there, moisture will continue to slowly rotate east. we're going to keep an eye on this. it is tropical storm matthew. the trend over the next several days is fort start to lift northward. that's something we're going to have to keep an eye on for direct effects on indirect effects toward the end of next week. for the time being, temperatures starting off in the 40's. we'll jump into the 60's. kind of a cool, breezy day for us. the breeze lightning tomorrow. it will be an increase in clouds and chance of a shower in southern areas. scattered shower activity a possibility on saturday. not everyone is going to see them. it certainly went down. good morning, ray. ray: good morning, sean. tilton police telling us that this all started when an officer pulled over a vehicle for having a false inspection sticker monday evening. they say the officer also noticed that car had met with another vehicle here at the park and ride just off of exit 20. after stopping the car, illegal drugs obtained to search warrant. inside the car, police say they found a large shipment of heroin, fentanyl, and crystal meth. more than 740 grams of heroin worth about 80,000 was seized. police also discovering a large amount of cash and a gun that was reported stolen out of boston. officers say it is clear that the drugs were intended to be sold in the area. police say they plan to seek federal drug and weapons charges against two of the people passed away. sean: let's talk sports. the red sox have clenched the american league east division title for the eighth time in team history. they won the division despite losing to the yankees last night. the sox had just learned they were champs, thanks to a loss by the blue jays to the ori beat the yankees when mark teixeira ended the game with the grand slam. they won 5-3. this is the second time that the red sox have clenched the al east title on the road. there's a little celebration after the game. the first playoff game from boston will be one week from today at fenway park. erin: the third and final van riemsdyk is ready to lace them up and skate for the u.n.h. brendan van riemsdyk will wear number seven. fist there was james, the second overall n.h.l. draft pick, and then came don't need a day for that. any day ending in y. is that how it works? start off with fairly quiet start. visibility is down to less than a half a mile. plymouth is looking okay early this morning. we are looking at a blend of sunshine and clouds today. that breeze that we had along the coast and along area lakes. looks like it will stick around today. today the difference is quite a bit more in the way of brighter skies, especially in areas that were stuck in the clouds yesterday as we wait on the next system to arrive. temperatures going anywhere from the upper range of the 30's up north to lower and mid 40's in central areas. some lower 50's right now as we continue to look farther beyond. as far as today is concerned, we're looking at sunshine and clouds across the area. again we're going to have that breeze through the afternoon. at times, that's going to go at over 10-15 miles an hour. i think closer to the shoreline, we're going to look at winds today gusting over 20 miles an hour. so that is the issue early this morning as we will have all of that breeze out there to kind of keep things cool into the afternoon. beyond that, we are looking at temperatures over the next couple of days to kind of continue where they are, which is looking at temperatures hanging around in the low to mid 60's. of degrees shy. cooler than average temperatures last through the weekend. the best shower chances look like they will be later friday evening and into portions of the weekend. i suspect there will be a good portion that will have drier hours to it. blend of sunshine and clouds. a lot of this deflects to the south and west. could be over five inches of rain. temperatures starting off the morning in the 40's to near 50 degrees. a seasonally cool start. it is just the breeze in the open areas. that will continue to be a factor into the afternoon. a few upper 30's up north. again 40's to near 50 for most early. some lower visibility in some of the normal fog-prone areas. northeasterly wind will be the trend. gustyto area lakes. temperatures up into the low to mid 60's. today fair skies, this evening partly cloudy skies. you notice the clouds start to increase. we'll call it a building of clouds tomorrow. maybe a shower late in state is mainly dry tomorrow. we get into tomorrow evening and that's when the shower activity starts to win out. it will continue to and a half gait northward. as you go through most of the day on saturday, there's going to be the chance of showers. if you have the plans, i wouldn't necessarily cancel them over just the chance of a couple of showers moving through. i suspect a good portion of the day should be relatively dry, especially the farther north you go across the state, doing a little leaf peeping this weekend. temperatures pretty much holding where t over the next several days with the pattern. which means low to mid 60's for highs, lows each night in the 40's to near 50. the breeze that we have out there today lessens tomorrow. scattered showers on saturday, maybe a linger shower on sunday and monday. not the anonymous drink of water we could use at this point. again there's the dividing line where you have the chance of showers, you have the outdoor weekend plans, and you don't necessarily want to cancel them. i wouldn't at this point. there's going to be a few showers around from time to time.
