A group home for special needs residents had left their house just up the block and were walking down to a basketball court. They were going to play some basketball. They came across two people in a car. For some reason or another, words were exchanged. According to Prince Georges County chief of police, one of the residents of the group home doesnt respond real well. And someone in car pulls out a gun. Opens fire. And hits that man in his 20s. That man runs just a little ways before he drops to the ground. Police say, this is an important note. Someone who was with the shooter was apparently horrified by what happened. Got out of the shooters car. Actually ran to the victim to and made comments that were heard in the neighborhood about how horrified that person was by the shooting. They got emergency text alerts telling them to barricade the doors and dont let anybody in. That all happened this morning and two hours later we were told by lapd that the suspect was one of the two dead in the initial shooting, that it was a murdersuicide, and the shooting scene was contained in one small office in the engineering building. That information came along with the news that there was a note and a gun also in that room. What the note says we dont know. We dont know the relationship or the identities of the two men who were killed in this murdersuicide this morning who died, but thats the situation here. Two of their caregivers were walking toward this park. Thats when the residents got into an argument with the suspect who was inside of his car. Moments later shots were fired. Investigators say the 20yearold victim stumbled toward the intersection of Greenville Park way and 69th when he collapsed. Prince georges county police chief says someone inside the suspects car jumped out and tried to help the victim. But when Police Sirens were heard, he says that person took off.
