it s been two years since jamal dean fired several shots at sioux city police officer kevin mccormick. after countless hours in the courtroom, the last members of his getaway team have been sentenced. the final two charged with conspiracy faced a judge in federal court. yesterday, 34-year-old evette morris hernandez of sioux city will spend 3 and a half years behind bars with three years of supervised release. 36-year-old esteban hernandez of mercedes, texas received 6 months in prison and one year supervised release. they tried to drive jamal dean out of the country before they were stopped by authorities. judge mark bennett says he took several things into consideration when deciding the sentence for the two. he says evette s was the top female member of the f-13 gang in sioux city. and she was involved in the shooting of a rival gang member. esteban was not a gang member and didn t know jamal dean. the sentencing is the end of countless hours in the courtroom and time spe
