Everyone keeps saying this is a parents worst nightmare. Police have enlisted the help of the fbi and the Santa Cruz County Sheriffs Office and the state Emergency Services all to try to find this little girl. Now just around 10 00 this morning, police briefed us and they told us they do not believe any foul play happened. There have been no signs of foul play. They are not calling this a case of kidnapping but rather a case of a missing lost girl. Her family has been cooperative. Police are hoping shes simply at a friends house but they have not seen or heard her. Firefighters there were able to contain the fire to 37 acres before it could do any damage. But there was this fire that did quite a bit of damage. After breaking out in a lot full of dry brush, one neighboring home there caught fire and was gutted by the flames. Member says relatives and neighbors raced to the little girls side. A Police Officer arrives scooped her up and raced her to temple hospital. Im glad the officer came on the scene first. She kind of got her to the hospital as fast as he could im grateful for that. I dont even know how we can thank him any more than what we did. Reporter witnesses say the driver of the suv stopped briefly then backed down the block to dauphin and headed east. An accident is just an accident.
