In this case the birthday cake did the trick. It was a kansas city man who decided to do something about a pothole in his street that hadnt been filled after several months of phone calls to public works. He lit a candle and celebrated the potholes 3month birthday. He posted the picture on facebook and not long after the Public Works Department came to fill the pothole. There were reportedly two crashes caused by potholes. It can be a hazard for drivers. It is a very festive 4th new situation led to evacuation of four buildings and nearly a day long investigation. And trying to get in there and repair a broken water main. It was quite a scene earlier tonight as students were stopped in their tracks by a river flowing the length of their campus. It went on like this for three and a half hours. It flooded the San Jose State University campus from one end to the other. Definitely did not expect to come back to this. I wasnt here when it blew. But its a mess. Reporter ankle deep and higher in many places. Campus Police Stopped students from crossing the flowing water as they tried to get back to their dorms. Its crazy. Its like pretty high up water too. Reporter the break happened on a San Jose Water Company owned water main about 4 15, between two of the campuss newest and largest dorms, raising concerns about getting to class in the morning.
