We are working on doubles in practice, to prepare for Friday's match. We have talked about resiliency and how situations will define us. We must step up to the challenge, for a a great win on Friday.” This will be the 47th meeting between the two programs, with Clemson leading 29-17. WTEN: Tigers Defeat Louisville, 4-3, In Second ACC Conference Win

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Women’s Tennis team (11-8, 2-6 ACC) defeated Louisville (4-13, 0-8 ACC) 4-1 on Thursday, March 28th. This marks the Tigers' second ACC-conference win. “What a great team win for these Tigers,” Head Coach Boomer Saia said. “The conditions today were tough, with the wind and the loss of the doubles point. Louisville had a lot of momentum, and I commend our players for finding ways to get four points on the board. Watching Cristina Mayorova and Jenna Thompson battle down the stretch and win both of their third sets was awesome.”  “It was neat to watch our team stand up in the face of adversity, so we will enjoy this excellent home win before returning after it for Tiger Tennis Fest on Saturday,” Saia continued. “We are looking forward to the opportunity to take two home wins this weekend.” In doubles, court one fell first to Allie Gretkowski and Lika Peresypkina 6-3.
