WTEN: Tigers Defeat Louisville, 4-3, In Second ACC Conference Win

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Women’s Tennis team (11-8, 2-6 ACC) defeated Louisville (4-13, 0-8 ACC) 4-1 on Thursday, March 28th. This marks the Tigers' second ACC-conference win. “What a great team win for these Tigers,” Head Coach Boomer Saia said. “The conditions today were tough, with the wind and the loss of the doubles point. Louisville had a lot of momentum, and I commend our players for finding ways to get four points on the board. Spring 2024 Season Preview

The Clemson women's tennis team opens up the spring 2024 inaugural season in Indian Wells, Calif., as they face off in the Dual in the Desert, a hidden duals tournament. The season will feature non-conference competition against ETSU, Georgia State, Western Carolina, Iowa, Alabama, Charlotte, Georgia Southern, College of Charleston, South Carolina, Coastal Carolina, Mercer, and Charleston Southern.  Conference play for the Tigers will begin when the team faces Syracuse on the road. There will be several opportunities for fans to support the Tigers at home as the team hosts two home doubleheaders and notable matchups against Virginia, Louisville, Notre Dame, Wake Forest, and NC State. The 2023 ACC Championship Tournament will occur from April 17-21 in Cary, N.C. Tigers Run To Doubles Final, Highlights Roberta Alison Invite

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Clemson Tigers conclude their Roberta Alison Invite run. Leigh Van Zyl and Alexandra Anttila made an impressive doubles run, and a great singles run for Van Zyl.Van Zyl beat Barber (Tulane) 6-1, 0-6,10-5 in an impressive match to clinch third place in her singles flight. In doubles, Van Zyl and Anttila beat Samford 6-2 to advance to the doubles final. The pair fell short after a hard-fought doubles final.“This was a great tournament with plenty of positives to take back to Clemson,” said associate head coach Tom Rees. “We are really pleased with how the ladies competed all weekend. Onwards and upwards, go Tigers!”The Tigers are set to compete in their final fall tournament next week at the Auburn Hidden Duals in Auburn, Alabama. Tigers Earn A Split on First Day of Roberta Alison Invitation

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Two Tigers, Leigh Van Zyl, and Alexandra Anttila, battled hard on the first day of the Roberta Alison Invitational. Van Zyl and Anttila started the morning off with a win over beat UT Chattanooga 6-2. As the day continued, Van Zyl beat Wisconsin 6-3, 6-4. “Lots to take and build on after a positive day,” said Associate Head Coach Tom Rees.“You either win or you learn, and today we did both.
