Heading into downtown San Francisco this morning, this is due to the Salesforce Transit Center being shut down. So all Transit Agency buses will be operating out of the temporary transbay terminal. Thats over at howard and beale. If you use transit, capital quarter, these are all going to be impacted. Howard street, of course, has been shut down between third and fourth and that is already creating a nightmare for many drivers and costing causing extra delays. Beale street is close between mission and howard. So many of the surface streets that are closed have a Ripple Effect on all the surrounding streets. We also have the bus lane that is shut down. Buses try to cram into traffic full of aim angry drivers angry drivers. My concern is what is the city going to do if there is a natural defense Natural Disaster or terrorist attack . You can see these guys the scissor lift. I asked them what they were doing, and they said that theyre starting to make the room for a temporary support structure to sure up the areas around the two cracked beams. Yesterday they started to move the light fixtures and taking down the ceiling panels for the structure. Thats happening on both of the third level bus deck and around fremont street like you just saw. They say this is a bigger band aide. Thats going to be repaired and replaced or removed and replaced. Reporter they are cutting away the structure that goes over fremont street. I just asked them a few minutes ago, and thats going to make room for the temporary support structures that are going allow fremont street to open again.
