Four more area high schools will hold their graduation services Friday night as seniors from Norfork, Flippin, Yellville-Summit and Gainesville each receive their diplomas.
Norfork will graduate 36 seniors, with the ceremony scheduled for 8 at the school’s baseball field. Each graduate will have four seats on the field for family members. Additional friends and family may bring their own lawn chairs and sit in the outfield during the ceremony.
Norfork’s valedictorian is Alyssa Pettit and the salutatorian is Eva Maple.
Flippin’s graduation ceremony will be held at 8 in the district’s new gym with a graduating class of 80 seniors.

The Mountain Home High School softball team was able to keep its unbeaten record intact by sweeping a conference doubleheader Tuesday at Siloam Springs. The Lady Bombers routed the Lady Panthers 12-2 in the first game, and the second game was more lopsided, as Mountain Home pounded Siloam Springs 18-1.
In Mountain Home’s overall stats, Gracie Uchtman went six-for-seven with a two-run home run, a walk, a hit-by-pitch and three RBIs; Marcie Cudworth was five-for-seven with a walk and an RBI; Mallorie Drewry went four-for-seven, walked twice and drove in four runs; and Katelyn Hill was four-for-eight with a sacrifice fly and five RBIs. Emily Payne was also able to shine in the second game by going two-for-two with a three-run home run, a walk and four RBIs.
