Saturday results include MH JV softball team splitting games in Jonesboro

The Mountain Home High School junior varsity softball team ended up with a split Saturday as they played two games at Valley View High School in Jonesboro. The J.V. Lady Bombers began the day by beating Greene County Tech 4-1. Reagan Hasselwander went two-for-two with a walk, Katelyn Hill was one-for-three with two RBIs, Tori Robb and Mattie Belk each went one-for-two, and Gracie Uchtman was one-for-three. Mountain Home did not fare as well in the second game as they fell to Valley View 12-3. Uchtman drove in two runs for the J.V. Lady Bombers, Marcie Cudworth was able to bunt Belk home and reach on an error in the third inning, and Belk and Olivia Crabb each went one-for-two.

Tuesday results include MH sweeping softball doubleheader over Van Buren

The Mountain Home High School softball team had a good night Tuesday at McClain Park as they swept a doubleheader over Van Buren. Mattie Belk drove in Marcie Cudworth from third base on suicide squeeze in the final inning to push the Lady Bombers past the Lady Pointers 1-0 in the first game. Mallory Pierski, Cudworth and Gracie Uchtman each went two-for-three. Lauren Loving was the winning pitcher after striking out nine batters and giving up three hits. The second game was more lopsided with Mountain Home beating Van Buren 9-2. Emma Crabb was credited with the win by recording eight strikeouts and allowing three hits. Cudworth was three-for-four with an RBI, Tori Robb went two-for-four and drove in three runs, Emily Payne was two-for-four with an RBI coming on a solo home run, Georgia Burnham went two-for-four with an RBI, and Uchtman was two-for-four.

Tuesday softball results include MH sweeping Siloam Springs

The Mountain Home High School softball team was able to keep its unbeaten record intact by sweeping a conference doubleheader Tuesday at Siloam Springs. The Lady Bombers routed the Lady Panthers 12-2 in the first game, and the second game was more lopsided, as Mountain Home pounded Siloam Springs 18-1. In Mountain Home’s overall stats, Gracie Uchtman went six-for-seven with a two-run home run, a walk, a hit-by-pitch and three RBIs; Marcie Cudworth was five-for-seven with a walk and an RBI; Mallorie Drewry went four-for-seven, walked twice and drove in four runs; and Katelyn Hill was four-for-eight with a sacrifice fly and five RBIs. Emily Payne was also able to shine in the second game by going two-for-two with a three-run home run, a walk and four RBIs.

Thursday softball results include MH beating Harrison

The Mountain Home High School softball team remains unbeaten after hosting Harrison Thursday at McClain Park. The Lady Bombers took the varsity game over the Lady Goblins 6-1. Lauren Loving was the winning pitcher, and she also went one-for-two at the plate with a pair of RBIs. Mallory Pierski was one-for-one with two walks, and Gracie Uchtman and Katelyn Hill were each one-for-three with a walk. Mountain Home is now 5-0 on the year. Mountain Home later got past Harrison 4-3 in the junior varsity contest. Katie Camp went two-for-three and drove in two runs, including the game-winning run on a base hit. Mallorie Drewry was also two-for-three for the JV Lady Bombers.

MH softball team beats Fayetteville in benefit game

The Mountain Home High School softball team had a successful benefit game Thursday doubling up Fayetteville 10-5 on Freedom Field at McClain Park. Lauren Loving threw three perfect innings in the circle and struck out five batters, and Reagan Hasselwander added another six strikeouts. Offensively for the Lady Bombers, Gracie Uchtman was two-for-three with an RBI, Marcie Cudworth went two-for-three with a walk, and Emily Payne ended up one-for-three with two RBIs. Mountain Home begins the regular season Monday with a trip to Wynne. WebReady
