BENIN-CITY – The Benin Traditional Council (BTC) has announced the constitution of an interim Elders Council for the Holy Aruosa Cathedral which was hitherto closed down for reorganisation as a result of the removal of Mr Harrison Okao as Ohenosa. The interim Elders Council, according to a statement by the Secretary, BTC, Frank Irabor, has been approved by the Benin Monarch, His Royal Majesty Oba Ewuare II. It is to be headed by Chief Norense Ozigbo-Esere (Osuma) as Chairman; Chief OMOREGIE Stanley OBAMWONYI (Esere), Vice Chairman; while Chief Ekhorovbiye Oviasogie (Eribo) and Chief Edionwe Oliha (Oliha) are members. The statement indicated that the constitution of the interim Elders Council is a follow-up to the dissolution of the Elders Council headed by Chief Omonomose Igbinovia (Osagiobariase) as acting Chairman. ....
