a statute counseling remembers a staff counselor remembers how it helped her. i felt safe and not judged. i walked in and it was okay to just be there. it becomes family is where you can find it and make it and for a lot of the kids here, this is their family. reporter: the staff lost their building but say they will not abandon the homeless kids who need them. they will still live in the park and we ll still be working with them in the park. the psychiatrists, therapists, medical team, everyone is committed to working on a street level. hungry, they got food. if i needed clothes they had warm clothes. reporter: tim says the center has been his lifeline. it s a good place. i d hate to see it close. reporter: despite reality, staff cling to some hope. we want the christmas miracle still. it could happen. reporter: so when the doors finally close in less than an hour, the staff s parting gift to all the homeless youth, sleeping bags since they will no longer

kpix 5 s ryan takeo is outside a san francisco courthouse. the fight to keep city college s accreditation is going on right now. reporter: it is. they are taking a lunch break but they will be back this afternoon. i want to show you an important number. they want to restart accreditation process because it is hurting enrollment numbers. the teachers union and the city say student numbers are down between 20 to 30% compared to last spring. if a judge doesn t step in, city college will lose accreditation in july shutting down the college. that s why so many showed up today for the court date. there was a line out the courtroom door, no cameras allowed inside. the city of san francisco and teachers union are suing the accrediting commission that is pulling the rug. ccsf says it is making progress on the flaws the commission found including financial mismanagement and lack of leadership. school supporters want the school to stay open. and there s no access for the students fo

this is video of a rescue in boulder county. torrential rain is causing havoc from fort collins to colorado springs. roads are washed out. homes flooded. and hundreds of people have been forced out of their homes. a handful of drivers had to be rescued from rising floodwaters. as cbs reporter rick sallinger tells us, one dramatic rescued played out on live tv this morning. reporter: tree drivers near boulder three drivers near boulder, colorado had to be rescued after floodwaters washed out the road. the vehicles plunged into a fast-moving creek. they rescued two people. reporter: kcnc aired the dramatic rescue live. rescue workers used an inflatable raft to get to one man trapped inside his car that was upside-down and partially submerged. they broke the window so he could breathe and gave him a life jacket. crews opened the door and dragged little to land. all three drivers are okay. they were all able to be rescued and sent to local hospitals with minor injuries,
