CSPAN3 History Bookshelf Nathaniel Philbrick Mayflower July 11, 2024

Second, comprehensive. In covering not just the voyage for the first few years, working philips war, all of which have recently been done, but in covering the entire story, allowing us, the readers, to enjoy the true benefits of history, which is the scope, to follow consequences of actions through generations. Narratives, because what nat does best is to tell a story. An adventure story, but in many ways, and unexpected adventure story. Look at the cover. I of course love it because it is our painting, the mayflower on her arrival in plymouth harbor. Thathat i really love is even though the book is entitled the mayflower, this cover doesnt put the mayflower front and center, it doesnt show a by waves. D that would be the expected adventure story. Instead, it focuses on this little group of pilgrims leaving the ship that has brought them through peril, headed off toward the shore on the verge of starting new lives. And it is there in the territory of these wideopen possibilities that t ....

SFGTV Health Commission July 12, 2024

Community push back for the route would it come to the board . My biggest concern was not so much in delegating authority as much as hanging staff out to dry. I feel more comfortable that it comes to the board so the public can hear our reasoning and understand why we support something. I think the com the compromise f allowing the delegation of authorities if it looks controversial but is important enough to pursue that it come back to the board for our input. With those comments i will make a motion to approve if director heminger is happy with that compromise. Staff did make a previous request, if i may. The motion to amend the resolution to establish no left turns except muni between 8 and turk street would delays the pro habbition for you. Do i need a motion to amend first. Yes. Motion to amend. Second. Roll call, please. Director borden. Aye. Bring plan. Aye. Eaken. Aye. Heminger. Aye. The motion to amend is approved. I need a motion on the main motion. Overall package. Motion to ....

Clerk thank you, very much. All right. We have quorum. Thank you. Greetings and welcome for joining todays board of education meeting. Knowing that we all know this, i would like to say these are stressful and strange times, times we never thought would be visited upon us. I thought it was strange enough trying to wait out and resist the person currently occupying the white house. But now things have gotten more bizarre with the same person trying to bully students, families and teachers and other staff back into school buildings. Thats what were dealing with. Thats what its come to. Today we will be absorbing our fall learning plan. I know many will find aspects they will object to but this will find solace in the approach. This is the time for us to pull together collectively to row lie upon one another to make this year as good and meaningful as it can be for our childrens sake. And to continue to find, within ourselves, a sense of grace and compassion and flexibility as we move for ....

Person of usfld and make ends meet and showing support of people who have been experiencing something thats so, like, difficult during a pandemic and has affected so many families across the board . I want to fo know if theres any specific resources that youve given to staff that have been potentially laid off or have been, you know, reduced in hours because i know that affects a lot of nex income and families. Can you repeat the question . My main question was, basically how are staff and personnel being affected through phase one . I dont want to make any assumptions off the bat. But what are some resources that have been shared with staff and personnel whose hours might be cut or have been cut . I know personally, i know someone whose hours have been reduced to two hours a day and thats on minimum wage. And i would like to share that we have solidarit solidarity wif our workers and i want to know if there are any resources that come to mind, that would help these people or if anythi ....
