Dairhü scored a brace while Rowland and Veshalou contributed a goal each for Gaziphema to claim victory. In a neck-to-neck encounter, Headhunters took an early lead through Pursunep in the 10th minute. However, FIFA staged a comeback after the breather to equalise the scoreline from the boots of Ronald Saikhom who converted a spot kick from the penalty mark in 52nd minute. A determined Saikhom made no mistake to net in his second and the winning goal for FIFA in the 70th minute to claim the hard-fought victory against a formidable team. Chingsha of Headhunters scored four goals (haul) in the first half to become the second hat-trick scorer of the tournament. Samson scored a brace while their captain Haotingmang Thomsong, Khampei and Thanglenhao booted in a goal each in a lopsided game. Shürhosül Zhotso, who opened the account for Ura Uvie, also registered the fastest goal of the tournament in 1.12th minute. Zhotso doubled the scoreline for his team with a brace in the 8th minute before the breather. Beginning their campaign brightly, New Market, a local favourite team from Kohima, opened the floodgates through Yhunshalo Kemp in the 36th and 42nd followed by Rhitsho Mero’s strike in the 45th, 57th and 69th minutes respectively during the second day of the edition. Rhitsho, who became the first hattrick scorer of the tournament, was later awarded the player of the match. New Market continued to increase their tally through a brace from Gideon and a goal through Neisede Peseyie during the later minutes of the second match.
