Shot. Police told me just a short while ago they believe he died of a selfinflicted gunshot wound but theyre still unsure if he was struck or not by that second bullet fired by the officer. There are two immense crime scenes out here. Were on the east side of 101 towards the bay. More than 15 police cars here, several Office Buildings on lockdown for a short while. During that time period where the man was chasing the woman and was cornered by the police. No one is in danger now. Were told the woman involved in this incident is okay and was uninjured. The d. A. s office is here investigating, theyre waiting for the Coroners Office to show up. Clifford is live tonight where it happened. And charles a chaotic situation out there well, just a terrifying scene here in redwood city this afternoon. The suspect apparently confronted his ex wife right behind me here and now he is dead from an apparenty self inflicted gunshot wound. According to redwood city police, around 2 15 tuesday afternoon a 43yearold man confronted his 44yearold exwife in the parking lot of her employer here along penobscot drive. The woman apparently had a restrain order against her exhusband and refused to talk to him. According to police, the man retrieved a handgun from his truck and chased his exwife across the parking lot. They also believe that during the pursuit he fired at least one shot. The woman managed to call 911 on her cell phone and then hid. When Police Arrived on scene, they confronted the man and tried to get him to lower his weapon.
