We have the next hurricane update coming in two hours. Bottom line this remains a serious storm. Some people are breathing a sigh of relief its a category 2 hurricane. But still a very powerful storm that will dump a lot of water and create serious storm surges. I want to bring in meteorologist Michele Grossman to tell us about this storm. Were focusing on water. Were to concussion on the life threatening surge. This is what it looks like right now. A big storm about 300 miles wide, even 400 miles wide. thanks very much. we ll stay in close touch with you. we ll be here for next little while. let s go back to radio island where gady schwartz is. for those looking at these pictures, these images of gady that s the kind of thing that will work its way through the coast. it s worse than what you see. you have been getting this for hours. we were talking in the 10:00 hour this morning. reporter: that s right. this is just a taste of what s to come. these wind gusts, you see these wind gusts. these are about 60, 70 miles per hour. they come and go. at some points the visibility is cut down to zero. we re looking at wind gusts getting above 100 miles per hour. they will be a lot more powerful than this and much of that comes when the sun goes down, when it gets very dark here. we ll also be seeing the second cycle of a high tide. the first one we saw was around
