2 large eggs, separated
1 cup butter, melted
In a bowl, combine flour, sugar and baking powder.
In another bowl, lightly beat egg yolks. Add milk, butter and vanilla; mix well. Stir into dry ingredients just until combined.
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form then fold into batter.
Bake in a preheated waffle iron according to manufacturer s directions until golden brown. Serve with strawberries or syrup.

Toddler killed in single vehicle accident in Van Zandt County

VAN ZANDT COUNTY, Texas A single vehicle on accident in Van Zandt County has killed a toddler and injured two other people.
According to a preliminary crash report, on February 6, a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling east on Interstate 20 when for an unknown reason the driver ran off the roadway to the right then overcorrected to the left causing the vehicle to side skid and over turned several times ejecting the three unrestrained occupants.
Begin by cutting up all vegetables and placing into large bowl.
Next, melt a half a cup of butter and put thyme leaves and chopped up sage and rosemary.
Pour left over butter into bowl with vegetables and begin to mix.
Place vegetables into large pan and place chicken on top of vegetables and cover.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees and cook for 1 1/2 hours. When the roast has 30 minutes left to cook remove covering to allowing skin to crisp.

LONGVIEW, Texas The intersection of Hawkins Parkway and Good Shepherd Way in Longview will see lane closures Wednesday and Thursday for a project to install a new four-way traffic signal and a center turn lane.
According to the city, eastbound right lane will be temporarily closed to traffic, Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Westbound right lane will be temporarily closed to traffic on Thursday, Feb. 4, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Drivers are encouraged to use an alternate route.

GREGG COUNTY, Texas A teenager was killed following a crash on Interstate 20 in Gregg County Monday morning.
According to officials, troopers and emergency responders responded to a fatal crash at around 1:16 a.m. on IH-20 eastbound at mile marker 584 near Kilgore.
The investigator s preliminary report indicates that the driver of a 1999 Ford Explorer was traveling east on IH-20 when, for an unknown reason, the vehicle drifted off the pavement to the north side of the road. The driver steered hard to the right and crossed both eastbound lanes and overcorrected to the left, putting the vehicle into a side skid. The vehicle began to roll, ejecting the driver.
