According to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, 55-year-old Arbra Leon Peavy committed a traffic violation that resulted being stopped by narcotic investigators. Peavy told investigators that he was carrying meth and more than 100 grams was located.

According to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, on January 25, Harrison County Deputies, Texas DPS Troopers and Hallsville Police Department responded to an accident near Farm-To-Market Road 450 and Interstate 20. During the investigation of the accident, responding officers completed an arrest on an individual involved.

According to a preliminary crash report, at approximately 6:20 p.m., a 2020 Freightliner truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling south in the outside lane when a pedestrian attempted to cross the highway and ran into the path of the commercial vehicle. The pedestrian has been identified as 54-year-old Robert Montgomery and was pronounced at the scene. The driver of the Freightliner truck ,49-year-old Tyrone Freeman, and passenger, 43-year-old Randy Bright of Fairburn, GA, were not injured in the accident.

2 Dallas men arrested after chase spanning multiple counties

The chase started in Henderson County and proceeded through Kaufman and Van Zandt Counties. According to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department, 18-year-old Javier Delaros and 17-year-old Arnulfo Baesa, both of Dallas face charges of manufacturing and delivery of a substantial amount of meth and tampering with evidence. The chase began in Athens and ran through Kaufman and Van Zandt Counties with speeds exceeding 115 miles per hour and were seen throwing drugs out of the vehicle’s windows.
