Metro gets a 911 call. A mans body is found in a backyard on covey lane. I heard this pop, pop, pop, pop, 8 shots, very rapid succession. For hours the mans body laid here. Neighbors thought that pop pop was fireworks. I have really failed in my civic duty. I should have called the cops when i heard those noises immediately. It wasnt small caliber. Police say the victim, described as a hispanic male in his 30s, died from an apparent gunshot wound. And just an hour later over at parkway villas on greene lane. Police were called to a fight that broke out between two men. Once they arrived, they noticed he had an injury to his head. He was transported to Desert Springs and less than an hour, about 45 minutes later, he was declared deceased. Police tell 8 news now. The 44 year old man suffered a head injury. When you talk about a snow squall, it is a burst that is brief but its a burst of heavy snow that can coat the roads quickly, cover them with snow, make it slippery and reduce the visibility. Thats what were watching for right now mainly clear and it is is cold.
