Metro gets a 911 call. A mans body is found in a backyard on covey lane. I heard this pop, pop, pop, pop, 8 shots, very rapid succession. For hours the mans body laid here. Neighbors thought that pop pop was fireworks. I have really failed in my civic duty. I should have called the cops when i heard those noises immediately. It wasnt small caliber. Police say the victim, described as a hispanic male in his 30s, died from an apparent gunshot wound. And just an hour later over at parkway villas on greene lane. Police were called to a fight that broke out between two men. Once they arrived, they noticed he had an injury to his head.
