Nine Seminoles Earn ALL-ACC Academic Honors

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s tennis team had nine student-athletes earn All-ACC Academic honors as Vic Allen, Alice Amendola, Anna Arkadianou, Millie Bissett, Olympe Lancelot, Kristyna Lavickova, Kianah Motosono, Ellie Schoppe, and Mila Saric made the All-ACC Academic Team, which was announced Wednesday. The Seminoles earned a 3.69 grade-point average in the 2022-2023 academic year and a program high 3.77 spring semester GPA. The team had nine earn a 3.5 GPA or higher, which included five 4.0 GPAs in the spring season. Academic requirements for the selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade-point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests. Florida State Travels For ACC Championships

ACC Championships Information TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s tennis team (15-9, 7-6 ACC) travels to Cary, North Carolina, for the ACC Championship beginning this Thursday. The Seminoles enter this week ranked 25th in the national team rankings and are the No. 6 seed in the ACC Tournament. Florida State has a 35-29 record in the ACC Championship and has made three finals appearances. The Seminoles look to keep up their excellent play as they have won five straight matches, including two top-25 victories. Senior Vic Allen leads the team with 14 wins in the spring and is ranked No. 79 in the nation. Anna Arkadianou is coming off a big 6-2, 6-2 win against the 24th-ranked Kylie Bilchev of Georgia Tech. Florida State Travels For Final Regular Season Matches

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s tennis team (13-9, 5-6 ACC) has its two final matches of the regular season this weekend, traveling to No. 20 Georgia Tech on Friday and No. 37 Clemson on Sunday. The Seminoles enter this weekend’s matches ranked 33rd in the national team rankings. Senior Vic Allen defeated the 109th-ranked Andrea Di Palma of Louisville 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. Allen is ranked No. 76 in the national singles rankings. Allen and Ellie Schoppe also won 6-1 against FAMU at No. 1 doubles. Schoppe is ranked 118th in singles, along with Anna Arkadianou who is now ranked 83rd in the nation. Arkadianou and freshman Millie Bissett are also ranked No. 55 in doubles. Florida State is 10-9 on the season and enters this week’s matches ranked 39th in the national team rankings. Junior Ellie Schoppe is coming off a 6-3, 1-6, 6-1 win against the No. 14-ranked Carson Tanguilig of North Carolina.
