to the transamerica building for the holiday meal also sponsored by aging services for various reasons. but more needed the meals delivered. sot/nat so a couple of years ago, sponsors made the switch to an all-delivery holiday service. some volunteers have a different job now. but all still get the thrill of helping out. you feel this aura coming over the group of people when everybody s pulling on the rope at the same time. it s just a fantastic feeling and there s no shortage of volunteers. one hundred 30 people signed up to help and there was still a waiting list of others willing. one family took the participation prize. nine members ranging in age of 65 to 8 manned the serving line. everybody came last night for thanksgiving so we said how about if we do this and everybody was like i think it s a great idea what s fun about this job. helping the needy and i like scooping stuff so things have changed with this holiday meal since it all started in the late 1970 s.
