The investigation began early this morning with a call from the papa johns on Fourth Street saying they hadnt heard from one of their delivery drivers. A 61yearold man. Fearing the worst, Police Called in homicide detectives and they found his car a little while later abandoned here on baldwin street just several blocks from the papa johns store. The driver was missing. Two hours later, about 4 30 this morning, police in arch dale, 80 miles up 85, called to say a driver walked into their department off the interstate and told him hed been kidnapped from charlotte over night. We watched as crews wrapped up trying to clear this tree. Minutes. But they had been here for about four hours. We talked to homeowners and neighbors across charlotte. A tree fell on a condo in the will more area. It caused so much damage inside, that structure has been deemed unsafe. We saw crews working to clear a tree that fell on a vintage seen Power Outages, two gas leeks, and trees down within a three block radius. A nearby homeowner told us the impact knocked down one of the trees in her yard and damaged her fence and she described the moment it happened. He started barking. We heard a loud rustling. This is the fifth day in a row school because of all of this snow that weve gotten in the North Carolina mountains. Take a look at some of this video.
