Injured, several children. Several of the victims were flown to area hospitals in critical condition. One other person was taken by ambulance. Contra costa county sent five ambulances and three helicopters. Chp shut down three lanes of traffics traffic for the helicopters to land to get to the victims as quickly as possible. With the incident being spread out on highway four, we had all of our resources on the highway, we could quickly triage and transport from the ambulance to the helicopter. Thats why we landed them on the freeway. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. We are following developing news out of dinwiddie, virginia where gunfire erupted during a concert at the motorsports park. Two people have been shot, both taken to the hospital with non lifethreatening injuries.
