Families. nothing that anyone wouldve seen coming. Alecia but tragedy struck early this morning. Just before 7 o clock police say Scott Bertics walked up to his ex girlfriends holton court home. At the front door, bertics fatally shot 19 year old clare orton, then himself. this is really shockingand sad. Alecia Authorities Say there were no previous issues of domestic violence, or warning flags, and bertics did not have a criminal history. this one is especially painful because the victim and suspect both come from supportive families. Alecia on this quiet cul de sac, neighbors say they did not hear the gunshots ring out. i left this morning around 8 o clock and saw a bunch of police tape and cars alecia both families have been extremely cooperative with police. Police received calls of shots fired last night near 50 redwood parkway and oakwood avenue and then a car that crashed into three parked vehicles in the same area. Police found two people inside a badly damaged black vehicle and injured passenger was taken to the hospital. Driver died at the scene.
