United independent party nominee, falchuk. And scott lively, a missionary pastor. And independent jeff mccormick, a venture capitalist. Candidates, welcome to you all. Thank you. Before we begin, a quick word about our format. Ill be asking questions, some of which were submitted by citizens to cbs boston. Com. Each candidate will have up to 45 seconds to respond to the same questions, so you can compare their answers. After theyve had their initial say, we will enter open periods of rebuttal and crosstalk where candidates can question one another and engage directly. There are only three strict rules. No talking over each other, no filibustering, and total utter
Demographically so they dont feel threatened, then you actually stand a chance of rain taken beyondeing face value. I think many of us are aware of this, but this is not simply moral question although it is a moral question. It is really a strategic one. Andandidates and parties political actors want to succeed , we will have to reckon this in a serious way. Our localcontrol system are the ones that do if you want to engage the electorate, that means to vote for you, we need to start turning out a different crop of candidates gloria hinted at this. If you want the policy outcomes that many of us want, more progressive policies on a range of topics, this is one very clear path to getting it. But thank you all so much. You were wonderful. And so does our reputation around the world. Martha joe biden at 77 leads opening questions about how long he would be in office, so that makes this choice perhaps more crucial than in the past. Or joe biden started by saying that kemal harris, as you saw, would be ready on day one. And biden in the past has said this. Look, i view myself as a bridge, not as anything else. There is an entire generation that you saucepan behind me, they are the future of this country. Coakley it has been important in my experience of the private sector of regulation or energy costs for health care cost. And i also understand to spur creation to work as a partner with schools to provide with the economy and one of the difference is between the two of us we keep those jobs going also with the work force. So people have the job skills. Baker the big issue redo face is jobs everywhere rigo. It is clear to me some parts of massachusetts are doing well and others are in demand
