Rule aimed at people who may not be able to pay their home and business mortgages because of the ongoing Coronavirus Crisis. Now, when Congress Passed and President Trump signed the 2 trillion c. A. R. E. S. Act, they approved some relief for people with federally backed home mortgages. People in this group can ask for a forbearance of loan payments for up to 180 days. There are a few catches. People would still be required to pay those payments when they return to work either in full or at the end of the term of the mortgage. Here in california, governor gavin newsom announced a deal with more than 200 banks that hold private mortgages to do the same for 90 days. But there are still gaps.
