miller are once again coming under fire.. 14:07:15 the argument is why did you kill this man? 28-year-old ryan bolingers family filed a wrongful death suit against the city of des moines. attorney brett beattie says the 20- page complaint incncdes claims of negligence, violation of constitutional rights, deprivation of rights, negligent training and battery. 14:09:50 this is obviously an immense tragedy. it was completely avoidable. it should never have happened. bolingers death followed a low- speed chase on merle hay road. in-car camera shows him running a red light with police in pursuit. after being blocked in, police say he got out of his car and began walking with a purpose toward miller.. who apparently without warning, fired at him. nats he came to my window.. the department ruled the shooting was justified.. but the family maintains bolinger posed no threat to miller or the other pursing officer. no indication that either believed he was dangerous and the situation
