"yeah my hand got tired but in the long run im glad i did it" " from urbandale, claire powell local 5 news we are iowa stephanie/2couch jack/2couch chief meteorologist brad edwards is here now... brad:2couch ( local weather is coming up next. foreca independent t ather experts" brad/wxc: welcome back. i'm local 5 chief meteorologist brad edwards. brad: let's take a look at we are iowa's most accurate forecast. brad/wxwall: weather adlib: put it has been one of the warmest starts to november we have on records for iowa, and it will continue for one more day! we had a lot of clouds around today in central iowa which kept us in the 60s, but some areas in western and eastern iowa did reach the 70s. everyone will be mild tonight thanks to some clouds and fairly winds of 10-20 mph. temps will only fall into the mid and upper 50s by thursday morning. it will be another mostly cloudy day thursday with a few showers possible, but many areas will stay dry. highs will reach the mid to upper 60s with south winds of 15-30 will spark some thunderstorms for central iowa between 5 and 9 pm thursday evening and will also usher in some much cooler air. we will be back to seasonal averages on friday with highs only the mid 50s. the weekend will be cool, but sunny and dry- good leaf raking weather! next week is also looking closer to average but mainly dry until the end of the week. brad/2wx: that's all for my forecast. check out weareiowa.com for the latest in weather . stephanie/2wx: thanks brad. stephanie: snap a cool weather photo? post it to we are iowa dot com. just click on the share it tab! jack/2bam: i'm here with sports director jon schaeffer, and jon iowa inching closer and closer to a perfect regular season. but they have to take down indiana this week. jon/2bam: yeah jack a hoosier team that can put up points. coming up on local 5 sports we'll hear from the hawkeyes on just how dangerous this team is and why 9-0 is something that hasn't been done in 6 years. jon: the iowa hawkeyes are trying to move to 9 and 0 on the season for the first time since 2009. they go on the road to bloomington indiana to battle the hoosiers. in my mind this is the toughest game left on their schedule-- sorry nebraska you're not the same husker team as years past. the hoosiers pushed ohio state at home only to lose by 7. but it's a chance for this iowa offense to put up some points-- indiana has allowed more than 50 points in each of their last two games. alex giaimo has more on the hawkeyes from iowa city. "(alex giaimo) this week iowa travels to indiana for one of the toughest tests of their season. they'll be taking on a hoosier football team with an explosive offense so the hawkeyes know if they are going to win, and win on the road, they will have to put up a ton of points on the scoreboard. (kirk ferentz) it's going to be a real challenge for us. they are very, very productive offensively, very balance, they do a nice job running and throwing. high tempo..with really good players and one of the better offensive lines in the big ten from my vantage point so they pose a lot of problems, been very productive, score a lot of points. (giaimo) the iowa offense will need to keep pace with an indiana team that's leading the big ten in total offense. (adam cox) very explosive offense, high tempo, so we need to keep up with that pace. we have a really good defense that hopefully will styme it a little bit but then hopefully we'll put up a lot of points and keep up with them. (cj beathard) we know their offense is up- tempo and they score a lot of points. hopefully, our defense holds them to no points, that would be nice, but you know that's hard to do though to do against any offense especially the way they're built. i feel like we are going to have to score some points. (giaimo) and the hawks think it's important to establish their offense early to avoid getting into a shootout mentality in the game. (tevaun smith) i'd say it's really important and obviously our defense is going to play a big role stopping them from getting all those points but i think if we play our part on special teams, offense, and defesne we should be alright. (alex giaimo) and kirk ferentz again reiterated in his press conference that it's not how you start but how you finish. kickoff on saturday in bloomington will be at 2:30pm. in iowa city with your hawkeye headquarters report, alex giaimo, local 4 sports.
