POWR is an all inclusive weekend-long event that brings like-minded women together to enjoy and learn about all things “outdoors.” This year’s event will be held at Clemson University Outdoor Lab from May 3-5. Women who attend this event will be able to choose up to 8 classes including archery, fly fishing, backyard habitat, shooting sports, outdoor photography, and much more. In addition to the classes, registration covers meals, lodging, evening activities, and an event shirt.
Charleston Wine + Food Festival starts in March. Several of Charleston’s top restaurants will host events, including James Beard Award nominee Chubby Fish.
Charleston City Paper cuisine writer Eric Doksa in 2011 laid out “the ultimate taste of Charleston,” listing “Classics to Get Schooled In.” From she-crab soup to pimento cheese, he gave readers a taste, if you will, of all the Southern classics you’ve got to try around town.
